140 Trainees from Urban Renewal Training Class of National Academy for Mayors Conduct Field Research on Liangzhu Cultural Village Project

On the morning of April 2, a delegation from the Urban Renewal Training Class of the National Academy for Mayors visited Yuhang District, Hangzhou, to inspect local urban renewal practices. The group, consisting of 140 principal officials in charge of housing, urban-rural development and urban renewal from cities nationwide, conducted field research on the practical achievements of urban renewal at Liangzhu Cultural Village. They paid visits to Liangzhu Cultural & Art Center (The Big Roof) and Yueniao Block in batches to gain in-depth insights into the planning, construction and operation experience of the project.
During the inspection, the delegation learned in detail about the whole development process, innovative operation model and diversified commercial layout of Liangzhu Cultural Village, and spoke highly of its overall development philosophy and practical outcomes. All trainees recognized the project’s clear positioning of "Culture + Art + Life + Light Vacation", and fully affirmed its exemplary value in cultural empowerment, community building and commercial revitalization.
The delegation stated that Liangzhu Cultural Village has formed replicable and promotable mature experience in the field of urban renewal, serving as an important reference for regions nationwide to advance urban renewal and build landmark projects. Moving forward, local authorities will draw on the developer’s development and operation concepts and practical approaches, explore distinctive and dynamic urban renewal paths tailored to local conditions, and continuously upgrade urban functional quality and living environments.
